Witnesses

It is a legal requirement for every ceremony to have two witnesses, even if these are the only people there. They can be anyone and live anywhere, but they need to be able to understand what's going on well enough to support your marriage in a court, should that ever be necessary. Put simply, they need to be able speak and write in English (or have an interpreter), be sober and of sound mind, and be old enough to know exactly what being a witness entails.

Ceremony Style Notes

How would you like people to describe your ceremony? Short and sweet? Deep and romantic? Informal and fun? This will help me write your ceremony script.

Aside from my speech about you as a couple and your vows, are there any other components you'd like in your ceremony? (A reading, a song, a cultural tradition, etc...)

Husband/Wife and Wife/Husband, Partners, etc...

Will you share a surname? If so, whose?

Getting married is not like changing your name by deed poll. Rather, your marriage simply gives you both the legal right to use either person's surname or a combination of both, hyphenated or not and in your order of preference. I can talk you through this if you have questions.

Will you exchange rings?

And if not, is there something else you'll be doing in place of a ring exchange?

Any special mentions?

Is there anyone you'd like me to specifically mention in my introduction to you as a couple? This could be someone in your life who has had a particular contribution toward your wedding or your relationship, or someone who is unable to be with us on the day.

Housekeeping Notes

Are there any housekeeping notes you'd like me to give your guests before we officially kick off the ceremony? Common inclusions here could be your position on filming/photos/posting or instructions on what will happen after the ceremony.

Your Dream Team

Let me know who is supporting you on the day so I can work with them as required. This could include: photographer, videographer, MC, caterer, music operator (this should be someone outside your wedding party - I can talk you through this), venue coordinator, wedding planner or on-the-day coordinator, and anyone else you think I might need to know.
